1 - Introduction¶

The Herdbook / Breed filter is a single control made up of two dropdownlists. This is commonly used to fine tune results to just herdbook and breed of interest when many different combinations are present. The values you select for herdbook and breed will be remembered for your current browser session and populate this filter in any other pages this filter appears.

2 - Herdbook Dropdownlist¶

The following options are available for selection with only one selectable at a time:

• All - Herdbook is ignored (default value)
• AM - American
• BR - British (rarely used)
• ER - Experimental
• PB - Purebred
• RG - Recorded Grade
  

3 - Breed Dropdownlist¶

Breed Dropdownlist

The breed options are spelled out in the image above. The All is usually present but is absent on pages where it does not make sense. All is the default value if present otherwise the first entry in the list (Alpine) is the default.
